Eleven-year-old Kristofers, who feels lost and lonely after losing his mother, accidentally opens a portal to a mysterious fairy-tale world. Together with his classmate Katie and two messengers from that world, he must find the courage to stop the dark Dornbush and accept the truth in order to save both worlds—and himself.
