In 1938, Latvian counterintelligence officer Baltais travels to a tense border town under a journalist’s cover to recover classified information and expose a Russian agent. There, he finds himself in a place balanced on the edge between two worlds - loyalty and betrayal, truth and deception. His mission soon becomes personal when he uncovers secrets tied to the unsolved murder of the woman he once loved.
